Summer Library 2026 is here! Can you dig it?
This summer, WCVPL patrons can enjoy a variety of activities, including story times, hands-on craft programs, guest speakers, and more! Most programs are open to all ages, so we hope to see you at a lot of them. Check our calendar here or on Facebook here.
This year, we’re encouraging a habit of reading each and every day, so pick up (or print out below) a reading tracker, and color in a dinosaur track for each day you read in June. The more you read, the more times you’ll be entered in a prize drawing at the end of Summer Library on July 10! Read every day in June, and earn a chance at the Grand Prize!
With programs, prizes, and new things to learn, there is something for everyone at WCVPL this summer!
How to Participate
Register for Summer Library Program (click the button down below).
Read every day in June and track your reading. Pick up a reading tracker at the library, or print your own (link below)! Each 5 days you read gets you one entry in a prize drawing. So read five days, you get one entry, ten days you get two, etc. Read all 30 days and not only will you get six entries into the prize drawing, but you’ll also be entered in the Grand Prize drawing on July 10! We’ll have four winners for each drawing, one for each age group (0-5, 6-11, 12-18, 19+).
Reading Challenge Prizes
- $20 gift card from Lorelei Books, one per age group.
Grand Prizes
- Age 0-5: Plush Dinosaur
- Age 6-11: Dinosaur Puzzle and STEAM Kit
- Age 12-18: 3D-printed Giant Flexi Dinosaur
- Age 19+: $50 Visa Gift Card
Guidelines
- Open to all ages. This means you, too, adults!
- Reading includes books, audiobooks, e-books, magazines, etc.
- Reading to children counts!
Important Notes
- Reading Trackers must be submitted by July 8. Turn them in at any of the library’s service desks.
- Winners’ names/likenesses may be used in library promotional materials or social media.
- Library staff and immediate family are not eligible for prizes.
